Voice Journaling & Audio Nuance

How to talk out loud without typing, how speech-to-text captures emotional tone, and how to control your voice recording privacy.

Why Talking Out Loud Helps So Much

Typing on a small smartphone screen or laptop keyboard can feel slow when big emotions hit. Speaking out loud engages the motor and auditory centers of your brain, allowing you to release tension much faster than typing.

With ReAlign Voice Journaling, you simply tap the microphone and speak just like you were leaving a voice memo for yourself.

How Audio Nuance Works

Our voice system does not just convert words into text; it listens for emotional nuance such as pacing, pauses, and cadence. If you speak quickly with shallow pauses, ReAlign notices the energy and might suggest a grounding breath afterward.

Your Audio Privacy Options: • Transcribe and Keep Audio: Saves both the written text and the audio playback in your encrypted vault. • Transcribe Only (Default): Converts your words to text and discards the raw audio file immediately after processing, saving device storage and enhancing privacy.

How to Record a Voice Reflection

Recording is simple and hands-free:

  1. Tap "New Reflection" and click the Microphone icon.
  2. Allow browser microphone access when prompted (ReAlign only accesses the mic while you are actively recording).
  3. Speak freely for up to 15 minutes. You can pause anytime if you need a sip of water or a breath.
  4. Tap "Finish". In a few seconds, your spoken thoughts will appear neatly formatted as written text.
